Mechanical Technologist

This role will be based in Mississauga, ON.

Your role within the team:

  • Organize & maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company policies.
  • Carry out routine and/or non-routine assignments of substantial variety and/or complexity.
  • Demonstrate some expertise in a technical specialty.
  • Demonstrate sound mechanical dexterity and skill with tools and equipment.
  • Prepare or contribute to technical reports, memoranda and procedures.
  • Complete prioritized work requests on time.
  • Nuclear energy worker (NEW).
  • Frequent travel to vendor and project sites.

The ideal candidate:

  • Diploma of Collegial studies in mechanical engineering technology, Trade Certificate from College of Trades in a mechanical discipline or relevant technical experience.
  • 6 + years working experience in mechanical design / testing / nuclear field services sector.
  • Familiarity with the Design & Development section of ISO 9001 standards.
  • Microsoft Word / Excel.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of established engineering design principles and methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, efficient and effective communication (written and oral) and organization skills are essential.
  • Must be “Team” Oriented with a demonstrated ability to work well with others and promote a positive work environment.
