The role will be based in Egypt to support in delivering professional Commercial services.

AtkinsRéalis has a successful Middle East Cost Management business covering the main geographies of; KSA, UAE, Qatar and Oman.  The successful candidate will have extensive middle east experience and be primarily focused on technical service excellence, growth and expanding our capability to become the market leader in measurement and associated activities in the Middle East.

The role and responsibilities of the position will cover the following key aspects:

Essential Criteria

• Strong contractual, commercial and contract administration experience;

• Middle East experience of at least 10 years;

• Minimum 15 post-qualification experience;

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Technical expertise in construction methodologies and alternative design solutions for all MEP Installation disciplines.

• Technical expertise and experience in estimating and cost planning for all MEP Installation disciplines at all stages from conception to award.

• Expertise and experience in value engineering and providing cost advice on potential alternative design solutions for all MEP Installation disciplines.

• Management and coordination of the MEP team in the preparation of all deliverables.

• Experience and technical ability to comprehensively peer review deliverables including estimates, Cost Plans and Bills of Quantities

• Experience in providing input and preparation of Fee Proposals for MEP scope of services for potential Pre-Contract and Post Contract engagements

• Excellent written and spoken English;

• Full familiarity and understanding of all standard methods of measurement;

• Full familiarity with sustainable construction technology and accreditation;

• Excellent client facing ability;

• Willingness to travel across the regional business;

• Proven track record of management of teams;

• Proven track record of producing fee proposals and being part of winning teams;

• Proven track record of management of multiple projects;

• Proven track record of working on all major types of development i.e. commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, entertainment, infrastructure, mixed use, healthcare as a minimum

Desirable Criteria

• Middle East delivery experience in Saudi Arabia would be a differentiator;

• Working in a multi-disciplinary organisations;

• Working in Client organisations;

• Working for a general or specialist MEP Contractor;

Responsibilities

Contribution to fee proposals;

Line management responsibility for a total team of circa 15 Regional staff;

Participation in win work presentations;

Management of the training and development for the MEP team;

Technical over-sight of all major MEP deliverables for the Regional business;

Client and stakeholder management;

Executive level reporting;

Internal project financial management;

Reporting on project performance;
