We are seeking a Owner's Representative Construction Manager to join our team in South, Florida, to lead and work on various Construction projects.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Oversee and manage contractor(s) construction activities to ensure compliance with the EPC contract, applicable permits, site regulations and construction safety program.
• Reviews, monitors and tracks construction schedule and progress and ensures overall project schedule compliance.
• Reviews and authorizes validity of contractor payment application.
• Reviews and recommends resolutions regarding contractual disputes between owner and contractor.
• Provides input to project weekly and monthly construction progress report.
• Participates in regular contractor construction meetings.
• Manages coordination of OEM Contract and Technical Advisors.
• Ensures safe efficient turnover of plant to Commissioning and Start-up at mechanical Completion.
• Coordinates with Commissioning and Start-up Manager and engineers to facilitate start-up of the project in accordance with operations agreed system turnover plan and plant performance testing and expectations.
• For the relevant project, manages the owner construction staff required for the project consisting of direct hires, contract employees and consultants and contractors.
• Manages compliance with industry standard and manufacturer required storage/preservation requirements.
• Assists as required to ensure that project documentation including turnover packages, as-builts, redlines, etc. are completed properly.

What will you contribute?

• Experience – Ten (10) or more years of experience as a Construction Manager within the Power Industry or worked within the waste-to-energy construction industry.
• Communication Skills – Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization. 
• Computer Skills – Competent and knowledgeable computer skills.  Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Programs.
• Reasoning Ability – Use of basic reasoning, thinking “on your feet”, and ability to resolve issues quickly with little or no direction from a superior. 
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format. 
• Ability to make good judgments and render good decisions. 
• Other Skills and Abilities – Ability to read and understand blueprints and coordinate many different activities.
• Ability to read and understand project schedules and other project reports to develop pre-planning opportunities.
