To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for the piping engineering & preparation of drawings and technical documentation required for the execution of Industrial projects including (Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Mission Critical projects – Data Centre, Food & Beverages) from concept design, FEED design and detailed design.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analysis of regulatory requirement and safety design as per standards.
• Prepare high quality engineering deliverables within agreed timeline.
• Peer Review of 3D model which includes Pipe Routing, Valve and Specialty Item
• arrangement, Equipment layout and Inter Discipline Check.
• Basis of Design / General Piping Drawings / Piping IFC Drawings / Outline
• Specifications.
• Loads calculations / Pump sizing.
• Piping stress calculations (for Process, Chill water, cooling, heating, and steam
• networks).
• Equipment Layout and sizing selection.
• Vendor package review.
• Datasheet of equipment.
• Bill of Materials Take off / 3D modelling.
• Review and Developing the Detailed Piping Engineering.
• Review shop drawings and execute TBE of vendor or sub-contractor.
• Ensuring design work interfaces well with that of other disciplines.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and procedures.
• Support commissioning and construction stage as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 2-5 years’ experience in piping engineering preferably in Industrial projects.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia. PEng is an added advantage.
• Experienced in EPCM work environment.
• Experienced in Management of Change (MOC) projects are an added advantage.
• AutoCAD experience is must.
• Good hand-on skill with 3D Modelling tools such as Revit, E3D, SP3D or other Piping 3D Model tool, etc.
• Experience in E3D and/or SP3D are an added advantage.
• Thorough Knowledge of Malaysia’s Code and local legislative regulations / International codes regulations such as ASME, API, ANSI, 3A, PIP, ASTM, BS, DIN, JIS, MS, etc.
• Added value in having past work experience in the multicultural team and hybrid
• environment.
