We are currently looking for a Planning Manager to lead our team of experienced Healthcare Planning Engineers on three healthcare projects.

Reporting to the Project Director, this is an excellent opportunity to support our Project Management Consultancy services to a highly successful main contractor with a defined career progression structure and a very healthy outlook.

You will assist the Project Director as well as act as a key point of contact in the delivery of  project management function for a key client within Oman on three healthcare projects within the country.

  • Western educated, fluent English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You will be a recognised expert with a minimum of 12 - 15 years’ experience in a similar role at a senior level (ideally within the healthcare environment)
  • You have considerable Planning experience showing clear career progression in the planning field through working with either client, consultancy or more importantly contractor side.
  • Successful applicants will have experience of working on high value general and specialist  hospital projects coupled with an excellent overall understanding of the Healthcare industry
  • Knowledge in the use of Primavera (P3/P5/P6) and MS Project is also essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills is essential
  • Experience as a Project Manager as well as a Planning Manager
  • Experience in identifying delays and preparing impact or time extension analysis reports
  • The Planning Manager will oversee the monitoring and advise client periodically through the Project Director of the Projects’ progress and associated risks relating to progress

    Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Scheduling
  • Overseeing & managing 5- 10 Planning Engineers and Site Engineers
  • Assist in managing logic networks based on critical path (P6)
  • Assist in the development and preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports to the client
  • Assist in the updating of the Baseline Schedule, including executive summary report
  • Identify bottleneck areas and alerting management as well as develop solutions
  • Coordinate and interface with client, and other sub-contractors daily
  • Assist in the development of weekly snap shots as required by the client
  • Attend meetings with the client and owner and provide information to team members regarding new direction or updated information
  • Developing the appropriate systems and procedures to deliver services to client
  • Assist in preparing time extension or delay analysis reports
  • Coordinate with the Commercial Team to ensure planning goals are achieved
  • Be a team Leader to ensure all deliverables are submitted in a timely fashion
  • Review and sign off on all deliverables prior to submission to owner & client
  • Interface with the Design Team to ensure issuance of designs meet the planned schedule
  • Interface with the clients project managers and zone managers on a daily basis
