Responsibilities:

• Be a principal process engineer to focus on delivering projects in chemical and fine chemical industry.
• This may include projects ranging from API and/or new energy projects (new battery, new technology materials and so on).
• Responsible for leading and developing the process deliverables in Concept Design and Basic Design. This includes but it not limited to:
• PBD (Process Block Diagram).
• PFD (Process Flow Diagram).
• P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram).
• Mass Balances.
• Energy Balances.
• Utilities demand calculation for each process step (for example: heating/cooling calculations, gas flow rate/consumption calculations).
• Brief process control logic description.
• Process Description.
• Operation scheduling /OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) calculation.
• Provide the input information for downstream disciplines, for example Clean Utilities and Black Utilities.
• Lead the process design work with process engineers’ support.
• Collaborate with other discipline engineers and clarification of Q/A from other discipline engineers
• Review the deliverables submitted by LDI (local design institute) and check the GB code and URS compliance.
• Site construction work Support as needed.
• Support Business Development team with new RFP and support proposal preparation.

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Have at least 10 years
• working experience as a lead process engineer/senior process engineer in the Fine Chemical industry.
• Have at least 5 years working experience as a process engineer in various chemical/ industrial projects.
• Experiences in leading process design in fine chemical processes and/or new technology processes (such as new battery or battery materials processes).
• Experience working with foreign investor companies working in China.
• Can work independently and ability to lead others and work as a team player.
• Strong communications skills to collaborate with other disciplines in executing a project.
• Strong communication skills with client teams.
• Familiar with the office software and AutoCAD series software, for example AutoCAD.
• Familiar with the GMP and cGMP knowledge and general engineering practices.
• Familiar with not only Chinese regulations/GB codes, but also other international regulations.
• Fluent English communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to travel periodically for work meetings and assignments.
