Procurement Quality Surveillance resources are required to support quality oversight for procurement of components for Pickering Retube and Boiler Replacement (RFBR) Project. The Procurement Quality Surveillance Representative is reporting to Project procurement QA Manager.

Location - Pickering, ON

Your role within the team:

• Planning, performing, and documenting surveillance activities at manufacturing facility by verifying and witnessing / observing inspection and testing and reviewing supporting documentation and records to ensure that specified requirements are met and maintained.
• Review and accept supplier’s documents/procedures and, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Engineering Drawing, Revisions, Material Inspection Logs as well as Calibration Logs and certificates.
• Perform Quality Assurance reviews on Subcontractors Non-conformance Reports and providing feedback to ensure compliance of their quality program.
• Notify the Procurement Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Assurance Lead about any adverse condition that may require the issue of a Stop Work Order providing all information relevant to the conditions adverse to quality and request direction on how to proceed.
• The Quality Surveillance Representative is also responsible to generate and submit for filing in Project Documents and all the records related to the quality surveillance activities (Significant correspondence, QS Plans, QS Records, etc.)
• Performing audits and assessment as assigned by Procurement QA Manager
• Interface with Client and Suppliers in resolving quality issue and report any major findings and negative trends to Project procurement QA Manager.

The ideal candidate:

• University degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years practical working experience in a relevant nuclear field.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment and techniques.
• Working knowledge of CSA N 285.0, CSA N 299 and CSA N286-05 and ASME codes.
• Good understanding of relevant CANDU systems, and retube technology.
• Good knowledge to write procedures and review documents on a technical level.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
• Basic computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
