Bring your skills to the mix as a Principal Waste Water Process Engineer, you'll play a vital role in every aspect of process engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad. 

We specialise in all aspects of process engineering, within the water industry, including waste-water and bioresources treatment, both in the UK and internationally, with opportunities in other sectors such as nuclear. We continue to provide industry-leading engineering solutions right through the project lifecycle from feasibility to process commissioning adding value through client-side support. We currently have opportunities in our Epsom, Bristol, Birmingham, Derby, Manchester, Leeds, Belfast and Glasgow offices.

Your Purpose 

  • Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels. 
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals. 
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes. 
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions. 
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design. 

What you can bring 

  • Chartered Chemical / Process Engineer (preferably IChemE or CIWEM). 
  • Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design. 
  • Fundamental understanding and experience of integrated waste-water and bioresources treatment process. 
  • Design and/or operational experience of main process unit operations: primary / secondary / tertiary treatment, bioresource treatment and disposal, odour and energy management. 
  • Experience of process safety techniques (HAZOP / DSEAR), capital and operational costs assessments, whole life carbon assessments as well as knowledge of UK environmental regulations. 
  • Awareness of process modelling techniques and software, e.g. BioWIn, SUMO.

Rewards and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary that is regularly tested against other consultants with a default 25-days leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell of that leave. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Additional Information:

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
