SNC-Lavalin are delivering Low Carbon solutions to support the decarbonisation of the UK. One of our contracts is delivering the integration design and cost estimate acting a Contractor for the HyNet Low Carbon Hydrogen plant planned for the Stanlow Refinery in the North West. Low Carbon Hydrogen provides a great way to reduce emissions from Industrial and Domestic heat demands.

A Project Cost Controller is required for controlling the project costs; This will include planning, developing, controlling, and forecasting the project’s budget. The goal of a Project Cost Controller is to minimise the deviation from the budget and ensure that the project is completed within the approved budget.

Day to day tasks will include monitoring expenditure through our timesheet system and expense system and providing weekly and monthly cost reports for the project against the established budgets. Control of costs by communicating to the Project Manager, Engineering Manager, and Project Controls Manager any trends away from budget. Control of change by supporting Trend notices and Change Orders. Ensuring revenue is covering expenditure by raising Monthly Invoices.

Key Educational / Technical Qualification needed
English Language written and oral.
Maths A-Level.
Project Controls Qualifications preferred but suitable experience will be considered.
Key Previous Experience
SNC-Lavalin are looking for an individual who is numerate, capable of working through company finance control computer systems, good with reporting, and has communication skills required to work within a Multi-Discipline technical team.

The individual needs to be skilled in operation of MS Excel.

Additional Information
Some work outside normal office hours may be necessary. We work flexibly to support our projects and clients. This means travel to other offices or temporary secondments may sometimes be required,
We work in the UK and Globally, opportunities for international travel exist and applicants with a desire for non-UK based assignments are welcomed.
We know that offshore wind is a new industry, therefore we encourage applications from individuals from similar engineering or project backgrounds who believe they have the necessary skills and experience to join Atkins on their Offshore Wind and renewables journey.
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.  If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
