Project Manager - Design Management (Al Ula)

Role Summary

AtkinsRealis are currently looking for Project Manager - Design Management with demonstrated experience in the design management and delivery of large-scale five-star hospitality / conference centre style projects. The position is to oversee the design interface, management and coordination for a high-profile construction project based in AlUla, KSA.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical Leadership, Direction and Support to AtkinsRealis' Project Management Consultancy team

  • Manage and report on the design delivery performance for the time, cost, quality and other performance objectives as required from the supply chain, including the application of robust change management

  • Oversee and manage the technical interface with all functions to ensure project and statutory requirements are understood, implemented, and discharged appropriately in the design and construction phases

  • Engage with other functions including commercial, procurement, project controls, construction delivery, HSEQ etc. to ensure that technical issues are suitably understood and appropriately managed

  • Liaise and collaborate with clients and all other project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are captured and executed through design to commissioning

  • Coordinate deliverables, inputs and interfaces with the technical supervision team to ensure a verified, validated and configured design that meets the client requirements

  • Ensure AtkinsRealis' core Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Integrity principles are embedded into ‘safety in design’ and delivery projects

  • Adopt a project culture of innovation and ‘lessons learned’ to drive continual improvement 

Requirements, Experience & Skills

  • 10-15 years’ experience in relevant sector experience across five-star Hospitality / Conference Centre

  • Bachelor’s degree ideally in Engineering, Architecture, or other related Built Environment fields

  • Ideally holds Professional Chartered Membership with a recognise institution such as RICS/CIOB/ICE/RIBA etc.

  • Proven track record in design delivery of major projects and package coordination post-contract as a PMC is essential

  • Middle East experience preferred
