Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Managing a multi-functional design and commercial team responsible for delivering many varied infrastructure projects in accordance with the client’s requirements.
• Managing key stakeholder interfaces which will include all departments within the client organisation as well as other government departments.
• Establish project controls and reporting and ensure timely delivery of projects to time, cost and quality.
• Progress reporting and monitoring in line with contract KPIs
• Ensure resources are appropriate to meet current and future commitments and to maximise opportunities.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in an engineering or architectural discipline
• Experience in design team leadership
• He must have a minimum qualification BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent, have Chartered status and more than 10 years’ experience with 5 being like this project/role.
• Able to solve problems by thinking laterally and able to understand the needs and requirements of providing design solutions in a developing country
• Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary design team
• Set out / agree design standards and parameters
• An experienced Project Manager with a demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi-functional projects specifically within a Highways and Transportation background
• Experience of operating within major highways frameworks would be a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of project controls procedures.
• A “rounded profile”, comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations. The successful candidate will also be able to mobilise people and teams and drive for a successful delivery.
• Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.
