Quality Assurance Lead is required to support overall implementation of project quality assurance program for major retube and refurbishment projects. Quality Assurance Lead is reporting to Project Quality Director.

Location - Mississauga, ON

Your role within the team:

• Lead and supervise a group of project QA professionals and Procurement Quality Assurance Representatives in technical issues or resolving quality events of major proportion and significance to the project.
• As QA specialist/ expert in quality assurance and quality control filed, has prime technical and project interface with client engineering and quality group on daily and complex quality issues.
• Qualified as a Lead auditor with minimum 10 years of internal and supplier quality auditing experiences.
• Establish and maintain a tracking system of all project manufacturing and construction History Files/Dockets for project submissions and milestones.
• Develop project specific quality assurance plan and procedures.
• Manage supplier audit/qualifications related to specific project scope.
• Develop project self-assessment plan and track the completion status.
• Supervise, co-ordinates and reviews the work of quality staff and support employees.
• Estimate and monitor schedules and assigns work to meet completion dates and project milestones.
• Evaluation of supplier’s capability to provide items or services in accordance with the requirements of procurement documents, prior to contract award.
• Oversee the activities related to: Perform QA review of procurement packages, such as EQR, PDCL and technical documents. Prepare Quality Tender Evaluation and bid evaluation.

The ideal candidate:

• University degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years practical working experience in a relevant nuclear field.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment, and techniques.
• Good knowledge of CSA N 285.0, CSA N 299 and CSA N286-05 and ASME codes.
• Good understanding of relevant CANDU systems, and retube technology.
• Good knowledge to write procedures and review documents on a technical level.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
• Basic computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
