Resident Engieer - Buildings (Site based)

Resident Engineer with 20 years experience in the construction of buildings required for a high end residential development in Muscat, Oman. The candidate must have prior residential experience ideally in both villa and apartment construction. Should have experience in all aspects of construction of residential buildings.

Required to be self motivated and work with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Engineering or Architectural degree level, ideally a member of a professional body

  • Minimum 20 years experience

  • Management of full supervision team

  • Ability to review and monitor project programme

  • Commercially aware

  • Experience in residential developments

  • Track record of working on high quality projects

  • Project management experience

  • Good communicator

  • Sound technical knowledge in all aspects of building projects

Role:

  • Management of the Atkins site team

  • Management of the review process of technical documents submitted by the contractor

  • Chair weekly and monthly site meetings with contractors

  • Be the key contact for site matters for all contractors

  • Ensuring the site is safe at all times

  • Solving problems on site as they occur

  • Role will report to the Project Manager for the project
