AtkinsRéalis are looking for a Risk Manager to pe part of the PMC team on a major programme in Riyadh, KSA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor a risk issue and opportunity management process

  • Develop and maintain a risk matrix identifying dependencies and the impacts of not meeting scheduled dates.

  • Identify, monitor and managing dependencies, and for resolving related issues.

  • Identify opportunities to arrange and co-ordinate any necessary discussions and agreements to realise benefits.

  • Monitor projects and ensure that an adequate and robust Risk Management process is under active management.

  • Implement an internal EPMO Risk Management Plan, Risk Log and associated governance processes.

  • Track significant risks to ensure that they are being systematically identified, recorded, evaluated, actively managed and regularly re-evaluated, and communicated across the program.

  • Identify, communicate and manage inter-program or external risks.

  • Identify and manage internal MOI & MOI PMO program-related risks.

  • Review and update EPMO Risk Log against Program Status Reports & Meetings

  • Provide accurate and timely management information to the Head of the PMO on a regular basis on the status of various projects

  • Monitor progress and drive delivery of individual projects, challenging and accelerating these where appropriate

  • Enable management of risks and opportunities at the programme level

  • Drive commonality and coherence between the various projects

  • Ensure the interdependencies between various projects is understood and managed

  • Ensure appropriate standards are set and adhered to legally and commercially

  • Ensure the client is obtaining value for money through negotiations with suppliers

  • Develop the capacity of the client through the transfer of knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Implement best practice program, project and other management and administrative processes

Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field

  • Minimum 15 years of project management experience in the construction and engineering industry

  • KSA experience is mandatory

Skills & Competencies:

  • Essential experience in high end buildings and infrastructure projects.

  • Site based experience is mandatory.

  • Previous experience in PMC and project delivery on significant schemes.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken English (Arabic preferred).

  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.

  • Exceptional project management skills highlighting organization, time management, and flexibility.

  • Proven competence in overseeing multiple packages of work simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate intricate design challenges and propose innovative solutions.

  • Applied financial acumen and attention to best value for investment within agreed budgets, ensuring cost-effective design solutions without compromising quality.

  • Experience working with diverse and cross-functional team disciplines, fostering effective collaboration and integration of various stakeholders.

  • Results-driven mindset, consistently achieving project goals and driving success in design delivery.

  • Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Previous Saudi Arabia experience is crucial, especially familiarity with construction procurement methods.
