SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Atlanta, Georgia as a Senior Cost Controls Analyst

 

 

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

  • As part of a program management team, manage the budgeted and actual costs for a large multi-project program.
  • Includes working as part of a team to provide information on cost and schedule that informs project managers, program managers and stakeholders

JOB DUTIES

  • Responsible for supporting the cost control of projects, including collecting and analyzing budgets, funding, commitments and actuals.
  • Responsible for calculating performance metrics within database.
  • Responsible for preparing monthly program level reports and project level dashboards in Excel.
  • Supports analysis of project variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan.
  • Supports monthly PM update meetings as needed and in collaboration with Deputy Program Controls Director.
  • Perform ad hoc cost control/program controls functions as needed.
  • Prepare miscellaneous weekly and monthly charts, reports, graphs (dashboard) as needed.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline with 7 years' relevant experience; 6 years' experience required with Master's degree; or 10 years' experience in project control or cost analysis with an Associates Degree

SPECIAL SKILLS

  • Good conceptual design skills and the ability to communicate ideas to management and clients both orally and in writing. Very high level of analytical ability is required.
  • Knowledge of e-Builder or other PMIS System
  • Proficient in Primavera P6
  • Experience working on a program controls team
  • Experience working in the construction industry

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS

  • PMP Certification and/or PMBOK knowledge preferred
