Senior Finance Business Partner

Purpose of the Role:

The senior finance business partner for ADS&T is responsible for overseeing the management accounting function for the specific area. Key contact points will be through the finance function and the ADS&T Operations function. The role will range from Bid reviews, reporting, budget forecasts and financial analysis. The role reports directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner.

Requirements:

• A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with post qualified experience.
• Detailed knowledge of AtkinsRéalis’ finance processes, standards and systems will be advantageous.
• Business partnering experience.
• The role will require some travel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts, budgets and quarterly forecast, along with commentaries & associated reporting.
• Pricing and bid support to Project Managers & Directors, including the overseeing the creation and integrity of bid models:
  • Monthly- Consolidate, review accounts, reconciliations, reporting and glide path analysis, cashflow planning and lock-up management.
  • Quarterly- Oversee quarterly forecast and associated reporting and engage with capacity planning.
  • Annually- PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) market returns, preparation of audit documentation, Cabinet Office returns and Factbook submission.
• Finance support and review of investment proposals.

• Business Partnering role:
  • Working with the ADS&T Finance team and Operations Manager discussing and advising in tactical decision making.
  • Working with the wider finance team, ensuring Internal operating procedures are adhered to.
  • Supervision and line management of junior staff.
  • Ad hoc projects and support to the Senior Business Finance Partner.

• Well-developed commercial knowledge and business understanding.
• Strong technical accounting skills & knowledge.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Broad understanding of tax and compliance matters.
• Strong people skills, comfortable in interacting with operational and financial staff and management at all levels of seniority.
• Well-developed communication and influencing skills.
• Collaborative approach.
• Attention to detail whilst still being able to work at a tactical level.
