KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES 

Planning and Strategy 

  • Analyze and understand the security needs of the project and its activities. This involves identifying potential and existing threats, risks, and vulnerabilities specific to the project and determining the necessary security controls and measures. 
  • Provide security feedback and input on project planning, resource allocation, and risk management. 
  • Responsible for interfacing effectively with multiple entities (Contractors e.g. Piling, Earthworks, Logistics, Construction and the Security Provider, via Security Services) to drive effective physical security solutions to meet NEOM specifications and applicable standards.  
  • Responsible for goal setting: defining specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals that align with the organization's strategic objectives. These goals provide a clear focus and direction for individual departments and teams within the organization. 
  • Conduct regular security audits and reviews, ensuring they meet the NEOM specifications and applicable standards.  
  • Oversee the day-to-day security operations of the site, including access control, CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, and security personnel deployment. 
  • Coordinate with Contractors, Construction and Logistics teams, to ensure proper implementation of security policies and procedures. 
  • Investigate security incidents and breaches, document findings, and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and appropriate skill sets for the security team. 

People Management 

  • Promote a high-performance working environment embracing NEOM’s values. 
  • Provide feedback and support to stakeholders, addressing issues or conflicts in a timely and constructive manner.  
  • Facilitate regular team meetings, status updates, and project reviews. 
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, such as Construction, Logistics, Contractors and the Security Provider, via Security Services, to ensure conformity of security management plans and NEOM specifications and applicable stadnards. 
  • Ensure clear communication, manage expectations, and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise.  

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

  • 15 plus years as senior security operational experience with multinational companies operating in complex business environment and working at a level where he / she is taking responsibility for the coordination of organization level strategic planning activities. 
  • Experience as a Security Manager / Team Leader in Engineering, Extractive Minerals, Oil & Gas or Construction Sector for large size project. 
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to simultaneously manage a wide number of different functional areas.  
  • Up-to-date knowledge of emerging security trends, threats, and technologies. 
  • A creative and agile approach to workplace challenges.  
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and make sound decisions. 
  • A significant knowledge of security risk management.  

Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree in Security Management or similar or 18+ years Proven Security Management experience in large organizations supporting large scale, complex operations in austere environments  
  • Military and/or Law Enforcement Background Preferred
