Senior Project Controls Manager (Rail)

Job Overview:

The Senior Manager Project Controls with a minimum of 12 years’ management experience shall ensure that the project management function operates efficiently across the Consultant’s organization and with external interfacing PMCM’s by providing an Integrated Master Schedule for all activities including; schedule performance and deviations.

He shall review and manage each O&M Contractor’s Master schedule against the overall Employer’s Integrated Master schedule to ensure that each contractor / third party is achieving the agreed performance against key milestones.

He shall develop and implement scheduling, cost control, document control reporting procedures and ensure compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Creation of Integrated master schedule for the entire Project;
• Ensure schedule compliance with the O&M contractors.
• Performance reporting for the O&M contractors (from schedule point of view).
• Review, approve, Process O&M Contractor invoices on behalf of Client.
• Process Company invoices to be submitted to Client and expedite payments.
• Ownership and coordination with various departments to produce Monthly reports.
• Responsible of dashboards on the project.
• In charge of evaluating, approving and costing changes, claims from O&M contractors.
• Ensure compliance to the project processes and procedures in project control function.

Qualifications:

• Good English verbal and written skills;
• Experience of working within large, fast moving organisations;
• Good problem-solving skills;
• Good written & communication skills, with the ability to write accurate and clear reports;
• Project Management experience;
• Experience of supervising subordinate professionals, performing activities such as training, assigning work, evaluating performance, or disciplining;
• Holds a Bachelors degree.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Good understanding of project control industry ‘best practices’;
•  Experience in managing large rail projects with multiple stakeholders;
• Primavera knowledge;
• Aconex knowledge;
• Knowledge of dashboard & reporting systems (Crystal reports);
• Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
