We are seeking a Train Control Engineer to join our team in New York, Los Angeles or The Bay Area. This role will be working on Metro projects and will be responsible for communication systems design.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Participate in communication system design and delivery initiatives, primarily for Rail Transit, related to new systems, replacements or upgrades.

• Prepare engineering documentation, including plans, interface control documents, specifications, calculations and design services during construction (DSDC) to support various transit projects.

• Support procurement in the development of RFI, RFP and IFB documents.

• Coordinate with other team members, stakeholders, clients and contractors to determine requirements and produce optimal solutions.

• Provide support to suppliers or other parties as required by the project to ensure scope is developed and delivered in a timely manner.

• Conduct site inspections and supervise implementation, configuration, testing and commissioning activities.

• Provide support to clients to ensure the design and implementation of the systems meets code and criteria.

• Support other functions as required including quality, claims, project controls etc.

• Travel in support of projects or proposals on an as-required basis.

What will you contribute?

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical, Communications, Electronics or Information Systems Engineering. M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred.

• Typical incumbent has Seven to Fifteen years of experience

• Experience with most Train Control Systems Design types

• Intermediate to Expert understanding of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).

• Experience with final design packages including design criteria, drawings, specifications and construction drawing packages.

• Experience with testing and commissioning.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work with multiple team members, management, vendors, and internal/external customers.

• P.E. license is preferred.

Expected compensation range is between $100,000 - $190,000 annually/hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location
