Senior Training Consultant

The AtkinsRéalis Training Services team are looking to hire a talented and experienced Senior Training Consultant. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop and shape AtkinsRéalis’s growing Training consultancy capability across our current and expanding markets.

We are seeking experienced and self-assured senior training consultants who can lead complex safety-critical projects in defence, nuclear and other Industry sectors that include the research, analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation of training solutions. You will have a proven track record of conducting and delivering all elements of Training Needs Analysis (TNA) where a Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process is used. Preferably, you will have demonstrable experience of delivering all aspects of TNAs in accordance with JSP 822 – Defence Systematic Approach to Training (DSAT). Additionally, experience of Knowledge Management Systems evaluation and implementation would be beneficial.

This role can be based out of one of our regional, UK Based, AtkinsRéalis offices. However, candidates should note that the Training Services team is based in our Bristol office, close to our key clients, so the flexibility to travel will be essential.

Your Purpose:

Senior Consultants will oversee all aspects of client-facing training activity (analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation) across a range of MOD & safety-critical domains and are expected to have regular interactions with clients. They will be able demonstrate previous experience and practical application of applying training methodology and process on some of the most complex training projects. They will also possess extensive stakeholder experience, understanding of analytical research techniques and the application of survey methodology. You may also have responsibility to manage senior training consultants/ consultants /associates/junior consultants within the team and on larger training projects.

• Author high quality analytical reports which comply with industry/MOD standards.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering the following SAT elements:
  • Evaluation of roles and assessment of associated competencies.
  • Identification of learning objectives and training needs.
  • Training programme design.
  • Selection of appropriate training methods and media.
  • Evaluation of training effectiveness.
  • Organisation and support of the training function.
• Manage the delivery of all elements of individual and collective TNA projects using the DSAT process.
• Development of training materials and support the development of technology enabled solutions.
• Significant and effective stakeholder engagement skills to support clients with the implementation of management processes and systems.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Ability to manage tasks, working alongside the client to define and deliver work packages and deliverables.
• Experienced in developing and implementing complex training programmes and strategies.
• Training consultancy experience within the defence, nuclear and other Industry sectors.
• Project manage multiple training research, evaluation, and design requirements.
• Providing technical input on training approach, methodology and costs in support of proposals.
• Organised, able to multi-task, prioritise, work to deadlines, and manage changing requirements.
• Experience of the design of training materials using a SAT-compliant methodology.
• Knowledge and understanding of latest technology enhanced media to support the delivery of effective training.
• Experience of the production of formal TNA outputs and the quality checking/technical assurance of TNA outputs.
