AtkinsRéalis ME is currently looking for a Structures Director to join and lead their design team in Dubai, UAE or Riyadh, KSA. This role will play a pivotal role in our firm, overseeing and guiding the structural design process from concept to completion.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in a core design discipline (Civil/Structural) from recognised institution; Chartered Engineer (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 15 years of post-graduate professional experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience on multi-disciplinary multi discipline design projects Middle East experience is an advantage.
  • Digitally strong, with experience of technical design software Knowledge of applicable international design standards Working knowledge of Health & Safety best practices in the Middle East
  • Experience of UAE/KSA building design standards would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience of leading Structures teams, preferably in multinational companies Sound managerial and technical skill set Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to liaise with a wide variety of staff and Clients at all levels essential.
  • Be able to show Leadership skills and have excellent team building skills, Commercial awareness, administrative skills, Delegation skills, Negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to Influence at all levels Preferably have their own client and engineering network in the region.
  • Should be able to demonstrate commercial awareness and a portfolio of profitable projects under their control.

Responsibilities

  • Advising the Technical Directors and Project Directors on technical matters in core discipline.
  • Managing quality and technical compliance
  • Monitoring work executed
  • Interface with other disciplines, consultants and contractors.
  • Be an active part of the biding and winning work group
