Technical Writer

REQUIRED SKILLS

• They must be detail oriented, able to handle multiple priorities, have strong writing, editing, and analytical skills.
• Experience in the development and execution of technical documentation as part of completing deliverables.
  
• Able to demonstrate competence with the design, development, configuration management, and maintenance of technical documentation.
  
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers to elicit needs, solve issues and make documentation recommendations.
  
• They must have effective verbal communication skills, and work well independently and within a team.
  
• Position requires excellent listening skills.
  
• Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  
• Current or re-instatable DOE Q-clearance required; current L-clearance considered.
  
• Must be US citizens.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS

•  Experience with software testing a plus.
• Experience with Visio is a plus.
  
• BS or BA with a minimum 5 years technical writing. Degree equivalency will be considered.
  
• Technical degree in conjunction with technical writing a plus
