The T&C site coordinator is overall responsible for Planning, monitoring and controlling the substation T&C activities. Testing and pre-commissioning works shall be performed by external Commissioning subcontractor or should be performed by T&C Coordinator himself based on site requirement which shall be mutually discussed and agreed with Testing and commissioning Manager. T&C coordinator should prepare, review all the required documents prior to commencement of Testing activities as per the client requirement before submission. Monitor and ensure the Commissioning schedule are in place to achieve the project target on time without additional cost to the project. Reporting client weekly and monthly based on client requirement and attend meetings at site and office.

What will you do?

  • Testing and Commissioning of MV&HV Substations.
  • Perform T&C of substation components (CT, VT, CB, ……., etc.)
  • T&C of different schemes (Switchgear, GIS & Protection Schemes)
  • Testing of Protection relays for different manufactures (ABB, Siemens, Alstom, SEL, GE, etc.)
  • Have experience with SEC projects in KSA with knowledge of SEC T&C Procedure.
  • Perform all types of stability test (Busbar, Transformers, Shunt Reactors, OHTL, UGC)
  • Arrange outage procedure related to any planned shutdown with confirming all isolation.
  • Act as the senior customer interface for allocated projects, ensuring the voice of the customer is heard and customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Meet regularly with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress.
  • Ensure Safety, Health and Environmental requirements are implemented to the highest standards and are aligned to Linxon’s, and our customers, governance / requirements.
  • Pro-actively plan and ensure the requirement of C1/C2 permit system of SEC

Experience and Education Required:

  • Individual should have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in Testing & Commissioning Site coordinator.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Should have experience in Developing project requirements, project plans within the construction industry (preferably on large multi-million-dollar projects)
  • Experienced with Protection, GIS & SW gear design, ability to check and comment on T&C documentation in accordance with contractual requirements of tenders / projects
  • Should be able to Resolve disputes, communicate decisions to client, subcontractors and management personnel
  • Experience with Site Coordination experience for T&C activities mainly in substation business.
  • Experienced with Performing T&C of substation different type of activities (Scheme check, protection Relays test, Open loop test , Closed Loop test, all types of stability test )
