Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our team as a VUEWorks Software Implementation Specialist in our Orlando, FL office. 

 
MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE:

DTS is seeking a Software Implementation Specialist with skills and experience focused in Commercial, Off the Shelf (COTS) software product implementation and support. The Implementation Specialist will work with clients and project teams to implement DTS enterprise asset management software suite, VUEWorks®. Successful applicants will work well in a team environment and possess superior attention to detail, problem solving abilities and time management skills. The position requires a great deal of flexibility and someone who is also able to work independently of supervision; resolves problems and deviations and obtains advice where precedents are unclear or not available. Frequent travel to clients’ sites throughout the United States will also be required.


Job Details:


Execute Project Implementation;


With assigned project team, ensure that all steps and procedures are taken according to SOPs and that all work is completed as planned and scheduled;


Keeping the client informed of the on-going status of a project and providing adequate management, advice, and support to the members of the project team;


Setup and configure VUEWorks® customer sites;


Assist with all product implementation efforts in coordination with the Sales and Project Managers;


Coordinate with Project Managers for non-standard product implementations;


Build out report and other module templates (work orders, etc.) templates in VUEWorks;


Provide product upgrade/update support services to customers and partners;


Travel as necessary to customer sites for installations, configurations, support, etc.;


Provide technical training services for clients, partners and staff on the VUEWorks® product line;


Updating GIS and other operating systems software;


Performing file maintenance on GIS databases.


Preparing technical reports and forms;


Provide primary client support activities to ensure long-term customer satisfaction with the VUEWorks® product line;


Provide customer product feedback for evaluation by the product management team for future development inclusion;


Assist with unit and functional testing process for all software components;


Develop and maintain product help files for the VUEWorks® product line;


Designing, analyzing, and maintaining GIS applications and databases;


General GIS tasks, mapping and digital data development;


Installing new software;


Coordination with firm clients for the satisfactory delivery of all and resolution of all support and training requests;


Assist sales and marketing staff as necessary;


Support product demonstrations



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
 
B.S. or B.A. or M.S. in Geography, Computer Science or GIS related Environmental Discipline commensurate with hiring discipline. This level may be achieved by GIS practitioners with 2 years of experience since Bachelor's degree or 1 year since Master's. Typical incumbent has 4 -5 years' experience
