What is it that you do?

I'm responsible for all aspects of project planning, scheduling, resourcing, execution, monitoring and controlling. It's my job to make things happen and get them done.

I ensure the scope of works is understood by Atkins' large multi-disciplinary team of professionals and sub-consultants. I also make sure everything is delivered with excellence, within constraints such as timeframe and design requirements, while meeting the client's and stakeholders' expectations.

How did you come to work at Atkins?

In 2000, I started my career as an architect in São Paulo, Brazil. I moved to Hong Kong in 2008 to join an international architectural design firm, working as a design architect in multiple projects in the Middle East, South East Asia and China.

In 2015, I leapt at the opportunity to join Atkins Hong Kong as a project manager for the Apple Store project in Macau. I was lucky to join at the early stage of the project during the feasibility study. I went on to develop all the design processes through every stage until its construction.

How have you grown personally and professionally since being at Atkins?

The Apple Store project had contributed significantly to my experience as a project manager. Being part of a team focused on a design that was going to be constructed was rewarding, challenging and taught me so much.

The Atkins team's incredible support on this project definitely gave me the confidence that we could deliver any project!

What are you working on at the moment?

For the last two and a half years, I've been managing the Dhoho International Airport project in Indonesia. It's a groundbreaking development that will serve 1.5 million passengers after the first phase of construction. It will also make a real difference to the country by boosting the economic growth across East Java.
