Take the Federal Way Link Extension project as an example, it is designed to create faster, more reliable transportation options for the growing southern portion of King County, Washington. 

This 7.8-mile extension of the Link light rail line, featuring three elevated stations, is Sound Transit’s largest design-build contract at $1.4 billion. It extends service from Angle Lake Station to Federal Way Transit Center, with new stations at Kent Des Moines Road, South 272nd Street, and the Federal Way Transit Center, set to open in 2024.
