Job Summary:

• Title: Apprentice – UC Exchange
• Band: T1
• Atkinsrealis is seeking a Unified Communications Exchange Apprentice Engineer to join our UC Exchange team part of the User and Technology Services Delivery. UC Exchange team provides 2nd level global support to the organisation’s Exchange environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fix Outlook related end user issues via Incidents
• Troubleshoot Mail routing issues.
• Manage mail queues to address space issues.
• Support engineering team on public folder migration
• Understanding of Proofpoint rules and filters
• Patching of on-prem exchange servers
• Configure and support Meeting Teams Rooms

Behavioural skills:

• Good communication skills and interface well with the business, line, and senior management.
• To be customer focused and to display an analytical approach to problem solving.
• To be a team player, working with others to provide a quality service.
• Flexible in working on rotational shifts.

Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace technologies
• Basic understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online
• Basic understanding and knowledge of Exchange Server 2013 / 2016 / 2019

Good to have:

• Scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell
• Knowledge on Anti spamming solutions and tools
• Understanding of 24x7 IT support model and exposure to ITIL framework including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Release Management and Configuration Management.

Educational Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering or Science or Computer Applications.
