Assistant Commercial Manager

As Assistant Commercial Manager you will report to the Commercial Director.

You will support the Commercial Director with all aspects of operational commercial and risk management of Atkins’ projects across Asia Pacific to ensure successful delivery of commercial performance.

This role is based in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

This will include:

• provide commercial advice, communicate commercial and risk management procedures to project teams, and

• promote compliance with the risk management and governance processes

• provide guidance and training in commercial management

• work with project teams to maximize commercial potential from the project, particularly focusing on change management and cash flow

• administration of risk management framework

• participate in project review meetings

• participate in risk reviews at project and business level

• review of bid documentation and advise on commercial issues

• administration of Atkins’ project management and commercial initiatives

• liaison for Atkins customer relationship and project risk management systems, support and training for users.

Requirements

• Commercial management experience in consulting or contractor business.

• Experience in construction industry relevant to consultancy services for infrastructure and property sector projects, particularly in Hong Kong and China.

• Degree in relevant commercial and or cost management (quantity surveying) discipline or equivalent.

• Effective communication skills. Ability to work with project management teams.

• Highly organized and collaborative.

• Fluent spoken and written English language. Mandarin an advantage.
