How will you contribute to the team?
The Senior Engineer, Protection & Control will report to the Engineering Manager, who will provide supervision for the Protection, Control & Automation design work that includes the following:

• Preparation of Protection, Control & Automation designs from conceptual to implementation stage for Transmission, Distribution and Generating stations.
• Preparation of Protection & Control single line diagrams, DC/AC control schematics.
• Preparation of Automation architecture and designs.
• Design and development of panel layouts and bill of materials.
• Design and development detailed wiring diagrams.
• Development of cable block diagrams and cable and conduit schedules.
• Programming of Protection, Control and Automation devices.
• Work on reports and calculations.
• Perform site visits.
• Perform design work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver projects.

What will you contribute?

• A Professional Engineer registered (or eligible for registration) with APEGA (Alberta) or EGBC (British Columbia).
• Must have a University Degree and have previously taken courses in Protection and Controls.
• Must have 5 - 12 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge and application of the Canadian electrical code.
• Previous electrical design work experience in Transmission & Distribution, and or Generation is considered an asset.
• Experience in an engineering consulting environment is an asset.
• Experience with AutoCAD and with PLC programming.
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Must be willing to learn new technologies and programming of devices.
