Location – Port Elgin, ON

Your role within the team:

• Work on dynamic priorities for both Marketing and Product Development.
• Compile and analyze various financial data for management purposes and planning.
• Analyze present business processes and historical data and identify areas for improvements.
• Identify and engage with relevant stakeholders to gather business requirements for process enhancements and perform gap analysis.
• Establish process flows, prepare procedures, operating instructions and other project documentation.
• Ensure transactions are recorded, documented and supported in accordance with company policies and controls.
• Prepare training material which is rolled out to all staff.
• Interface with multiple internal groups including Project Management, Engineering, IT and Finance.
• Co-ordinate with product development teams for oversight review and progress tracking.
• Monitor project progress, resolve problems as they arise, and recommend actions and strategies for process improvements.
• Conduct testing & trials to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends.

The ideal candidate:

• University graduate in Engineering, Finance, Commerce, Economics or Computer Systems related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a business analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills required to support and explain the results of analysis and recommendations, and to spearhead meetings with management teams.
• Detail oriented, with excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Effective problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.
• Project Management experience and knowledge of Primavera would be considered an asset.
• Candidate may be required to work on additional projects for and within the MBD team.
