Purpose of the Team/Role
Reporting to the Client Architecture & Design Manager this position provides the opportunity to join a highly skilled and motivated global IT organisation responsible for the design and delivery of end user computing services to 35,000 users.
The Client Architecture & Design team is located within the Technology Delivery sector of Atkins (A member of the SNC Group) IT Services, they are a highly skilled team of desktop subject matter experts focussed on delivering global IS solutions within the organisation. Embracing and developing the latest technologies the team provides solutions which drive the business forward in achieving corporate strategies.
Individuals in this role will apply technology to business requirements and problems with a focus on delivering business value. The role will involve taking the technical lead on global IT projects within the enterprise as part of larger project teams but also individually. You will be passionate about introducing new technologies and solutions within the enterprise. The focus of the deliverables will be on the end user computer sector and will often be delivered through a combination of desktop and infrastructure technologies.
The role requires an in depth understanding of systems design, with considerable of experience within desktop sector of large organisations. Proven experience of leading and delivering global IT projects is essential, along with the following:
- Technical Leadership with proven experience of influencing senior stakeholders
- Requirements gathering and documentation
- Identifying suitable solutions to meet the present and future requirements (both functional and non-functional)
- Technical design and documentation
- Systems implementation and testing

Qualifications
- Microsoft certification or equivalent experience
- ITIL foundation or equivalent preferable
