Contract Administrator

Managing and leading the administration of the O&M Contracts, undertaking commercial activities, and representing the organization in negotiations of the most-complex contractual issues. Ensuring liaison with the required departments to ensure compliance with any legal, financial, and corporate protocols.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

  • Direct liaison with the client, providing progress reports and advising on any contractual risks and opportunities.
  • Responsible for the accurate administration of Contracts and the timely execution of the applicable clauses as required.
  • Drafting contractual reports and correspondence.
  • Liaison with the Claims Manager to ensure a robust response in compliance with the Contract.
  • Ensuring the O&M Contractors fulfilment of all contractual obligations in accordance with the Contract.
  • Provision of all the technical data to the Contract Administration Senior Manager.
  • Preparation of contractual presentations.
  • Driving progression via contractual progress meetings.
  • Addressing change and claim matters.
  • Participating in contractual negotiations.
  • Ensuring that all Project departments understand and adhere to the contractual obligations.
  • Client facing and attendance of commercial meetings.
  • Dispute resolution participation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree required in relevant field.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • Experience in Middle East for a minimum of 3 years.

Professional Membership with a recognized institution e.g., MRICS, MCIARB

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE :

  • Proven track record of managing complex projects/contracts.
  • Experience in administering and managing various forms of Contract including standard form and bespoke.
  • Experience in the Railway industry is a must.
  • Knowledge of Operations and Maintenance Contracts
  • Knowledge and understanding of the legal requirements involved in specific contracts.

Experience in managing certification of contractor’s payment applications

Excellent communication skills

ADDITIONAL PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

  • Good written and spoken English
  • Ability to communicate in Arabic (Preferred)
  • Competence in Project Management IT systems e.g., MS Office, Primavera
