 Role and Responsibilities

  • Development of work plans and budgets for contaminated sites investigation or remediation projects;
  • Managing project deliverables, responsible for quality, technical content, and consistency with client expectations;
  • Directly engaging with clients and maintaining client satisfaction;
  • Coordination and execution of field programs, including intrusive investigations (drilling and test pitting), monitoring well installation, groundwater monitoring and sampling, soil vapour sampling, and remedial excavations;
  • Proactively identifying resource needs to meet project demands to maintain schedule and client objectives;
  • Implementing project controls including budgets, schedule, communication, resources, HSE, quality, cost forecasting and accruals preparation;
  • Supervision of subcontractors and subconsultants during project execution;
  • Supervision, mentorship, and training of junior professional staff involved in carrying out field programs, ensuring project requirements are communicated and health and safety protocols are followed;
  • Preparation of technical reports including: documenting of field activities and methods; evaluation and interpretation of field observations, laboratory analytical data, and geological/hydrogeological conditions; and preparation of conclusions and recommendations ensuring they meet project objectives and client expectations;
  • Preparing monthly client invoices, processing third party invoices;
  • Managing purchase orders and change orders;
  • Working directly and effectively communicating with a wide range of project team members to develop client deliverables and ensure efficient and effective execution of projects;
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships that facilitate successful delivery of projects and maintaining ongoing and future opportunities;
  • Maintaining current knowledge and application of relevant provincial and federal environmental regulations and guidelines;
  • Provide regulatory advice to clients; and
  • Ensure proper implementation, culture, and continued use of Health and Safety, Quality Assurance programs, corporate policies, and procedures.

What will you contribute?

  • A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in relevant engineering, geoscience or science, disciplines
  • A minimum of five years of relevant progressive experience
