Atkins is currently seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join our Oak Ridge Energy Team as ESH Manager.
Job Description:
Participates in the hiring process that ensures positions are staffed with personnel who possess the appropriate education and experience and who can be successful in meeting training and qualification requirements that ensure personnel are appropriately indoctrinated and trained to the necessary competence level for performing their duties.
Manages the activities, professional development and performance of personnel performing work within their respective department.
Manages Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Emergency Preparedness, Industrial Hygiene (IH), and Health and Safety programs.
Defines ESH requirements and ensures flow-down to subcontractors.
Assesses the organization’s compliance with Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) and regulations and identifies need for corrective and preventive actions and ensures implementation ISMS process in programmatic documents.
Has overall development and maintenance responsibility for ISMS, Worker Safety and Health, and Emergency Preparedness programs and ensures awareness training is provided for assigned personnel regarding emergency response actions.
Maintains, serves, and is the interpretive authority for the Integrated Environment, Safety, and Health Management System Description.
Ensures that information is maintained in the DOE CAIRS program.
Implements and coordinates ISO-OSH-250, Occupational Medicine, including coordinating/scheduling medical evaluations, fitness for duty, and post-employment evaluations with occupational medicine provider.
Supports the execution of ISMS guiding principles and core functions and the Isotek Safety Culture.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Supervisory experience required.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, verbal and written skills.
Education/Experience:
Baccalaureate in engineering or related science.
Minimum of 4 years’ nuclear experience.

US citizenship required for Atkins Global Isotek Systems project positions.
