Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Dallas, TX team as an Field Representative.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Under direct supervision, observes activities at construction projects to determine adherence to contract documents and regulatory agency provisions.

JOB DUTIES
Generally applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of specified technical tasks in the observation of construction projects of minor to medium complexity.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma (or equivalent) plus six years experience OR an Associates Degree in a related technical field plus four years related experience is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and to understand contract plans and specifications.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION 
ACI Certified
Should be actively pursuing certification in nuclear density, aggregate concrete and asphalt testing.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years of DOT inspection experience in heavy highway and bridge construction.
