Due to significant growth in our sector, we are looking for an exceptional Head of Estimating (Regional Director level) with strong and proven infrastructure experience, notably from Rail, Local Transport or Highways projects.
What you will bring
- An industry recognised expertise in commercial management and estimating services
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams and unlock future talent for the business
- An excellent understanding of industry benchmarks / best practices and methods of measurements (e.g. RMM and HMM)
- Strong network within the transport infrastructure sector
- Proven track record of service innovation, technical excellence and exceptional service delivery
- Comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing transport sector and the opportunities available
- Major project/programmes of work experience
Your purpose
- Develop and further enhance our Estimating capability
- Establish and lead our community of practice and drive technical excellence and service innovation
- Unlock talent and develop next generation of leaders
- Deliver excellent client service on our commissions through quality assurance and regular client care
- Develop, mentor and support your teams on project / technical delivery
- Influence and shape the future direction of our business as part of our leadership team
The Individual
- Will have excellent measurement, numerate and IT skills (particularly using Excel), with experience using a computer aided estimating system
- Will be highly analytical and able to interpret and present complex information both verbally and in writing.
- Should be commercially aware, tenacious, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent team player, able to influence technical and delivery staff and collaborate effectively with other divisional colleagues.
- Degree level or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. RICS)
