HSE Manager - Western Region KSA (Saudi National)

Role Profile:

Reporting to the HSE Director KSA, the HSE Manager – Western Region will provide oversight of all business operations and activities in the western province of Saudi Arabia.

It is expected that the HSE Manager – Western Region will be an acknowledged technical leader in their field, fostering an active HSE community that enhances AtkinsRéalis’ reputation for excellence by supporting innovation and cross-business collaboration, defining best practice, and championing new approaches.

As well as being an acknowledged technical leader at a technical and operational level, the HSE Manager – Western Region will actively develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

The HSE Manager – Western Region will have the following responsibilities:

Day-to-day function

• Contribute to the development of the ME regional HSE strategy, implement assigned priorities, and report progress.

• Support project teams with resolution of technical assurance issues.

• Ensure that all incidents are reported in BlueSky in accordance with BlueBook requirements, ensure that investigations are completed, and share lessons learned.

• Support the logistics team in the Western Region maintaining oversight of employee driving safety arrangements.

• Undertake HSE inspections of hotels to ensure they meet AtkinsRéalis requirements prior to staff staying.

• Provide support for company provided accommodation ensuring that accommodation standards are understood.

• Audit and inspect company provided accommodation as required. Act as an internal focal point and subject matter expert for all technical and health, safety related matters in the Western Region geography.

• Undertake HSE inspections and audits for AtkinsRéalis offices and sites as required. Drive implementation of BlueBook standards including CRCP and all aspects of the GHSEMS.

• Support project leaders to ensure they and their teams fully understand all HSE requirements.

• Work and act as an ambassador for the AtkinsRéalis values taking opportunities to promote good practice.

• Ensure that monthly reporting is carried out in accordance with AtkinsRéalis procedures, acting as a focal point to collate information for various business unit reports.

• Support the business offices at country level with the HSW committee and consultation meetings, attending as the SME for the offices within the Western Region geography.

• Support senior operational management within the geography covered in conducting leadership tours and providing advice and support on HSW.

People development

• Mentoring and otherwise assisting in the development of HSW personnel, as required.

• Developing KSA nationals interest in HSW and providing support to increase their awareness and understanding of AtkinsRéalis HSW requirements.

Stakeholder management

• Work closely with operational management within AtkinsRéalis to promote core HSW values through attendance at leadership team meetings, operational meetings, workshops and training.

• Position himself / herself as a significant industry contributor on safety matters, through public speaking engagements and media publications. Work closely with regulatory authorities (municipalities and ministries), promoting AtkinsRéalis as an industry leader in HSW.
