Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and audits of civil construction activities on Metro and Railways projects to ensure adherence to design specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of workmanship, materials used, and construction methods employed by contractors and subcontractors.
  • Document inspection findings, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and non-conformance issues.
  • Collaborate closely with project engineers, designers, and stakeholders to address technical queries, resolve construction issues, and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Verify compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the construction process.
  • Provide guidance and support to construction teams, offering technical advice and recommendations to improve construction efficiency and quality.
  • Conduct final inspections and prepare punch lists to ensure all deficiencies are rectified before project completion.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and site visits as required to coordinate construction activities and communicate project status updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience (8-10 years) as a Civil Inspector or similar role, with a focus on Metro and Railways projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and specifications relevant to infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with local construction codes, regulations, and standards in the UAE.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents and drawings.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with project teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools, equipment, and software for documenting inspection results.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Certification or training in quality management systems (ISO 9001) and health and safety (OSHA or equivalent) is advantageous.
