Manager Financial Planning & Analysis  

Under the supervision of the Senior Director Financial Planning & Analysis;

Responsibilities  

• Build, lead, coach and develop an FP&A Center of Excellence with approximately 15 FP&A professionals reporting into various lines of sights
• Understand the business partner’s needs and reporting requirements while challenging the status quo and implementing efficiencies  
• Act as a lead business partner to Operations, Major Projects, Legal Accounting, Systems, Treasury, Corporate FP&A & other departments
• Significantly streamline, standardize and simplify all current processes and implement centralized ‘’COE responsibilities’’ for all line of sights. 
• Coordinate development and submission of the monthly rolling estimate, month-end results, quarterly forecast for P&L statements, Free Cash Flow and other KPIs
• Lead the overall process for the development of the five-year strategic plan and the annual budget;
• Support the consolidation, analysis and assessment of the P&L Statements by monitoring the actual financial performance against the annual budget, five-year strategic plan and periodic forecasts;
• Prepare and coordinate financial reporting presentations (Five-year plan, Annual budget, Quarterly Operations Review);
• Lead and coach the overhead reporting by line of business including actuals, estimates, forecasts and budgets while acting as business partner to all functions.
• Drive corrective action on deviations from agreed plan;
• Ensure efficiency, accuracy and integrity of information when managing the forecasting models;
• Lead efforts to improve financial planning and analysis tools and processes;

Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years’ experience as a business unit accountant for a medium to large company;
• Experience managing a team of finance professionals
• CPA title mandatory;
• Outstanding communication skills in English (oral and in writing mandatory) and French;
• Strong knowledge of Excel is mandatory, Oracle/Hyperion a strong asset;
• Ability to sustain a high level of pressure in a fast paced environment;
• Adaptable, autonomous with a positive attitude.
