Project Risk Manager

Role: Project Risk Management Lead/Manager

Supervisor: Manager, Risk Management

Fixed Term  for 12-14 months

Job Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Lead and facilitate periodic Risk Review meeting with the Project Manager(s) and key members of the project team, to ensure risk management processes are being appropriately utilized.
• Perform Cost and Schedule risk analysis for projects and proposals.
• Develop risk management plan and register for Projects.
• Participate in bi-weekly or monthly project status meeting.
• Lead and facilitate monthly Risk Review interface meetings on behalf of the project team and the customer.
• Participate in key Senior Leadership meetings as Manager, Risk Management’s Delegate (e.g. engineering, procurement, construction, project management) to maintain visibility of project /proposal risk management activities.
• Follow-up on risk register mitigating actions on a continual basis, through regular updates with Project Managers and Risk Owners.
• Develop Data for the Monthly Risk Management report.
• Ability to work on multiple multi-million dollar projects at the same time effectively.
• Co-Ownership of the Risk Management SharePoint site and the Lessons Learned SharePoint site.

Qualifications (includes, but not limited to):

• University degree in engineering, economics, social sciences with a minimum of 3+ years of working experience preferably in a Project Engineering /Management role, or an equivalent combination of experience and education;
• Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large and multi-cultural team.
• Ability to influence project and proposal direction and decisions.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Background in Cost and Project Controls
• Knowledge in use of Risk Management qualitative and quantitative analysis software’s/tools will be an asset
