AtkinsRéalis’ Building Design Practice are looking for an experienced, motivated Regional BIM Lead (Building Services)  seeking to develop their career in a positive environment and join our team where talent is encouraged and growth opportunities unrivalled. We have an opening within our Bristol office, which presents an opportunity to join a national delivery team and work with designers all across the UK and internationally through our Global Technology Centre.

The Regional BIM Lead (Building Services) role focuses on people & project transformation through the lens of Digital & BIM.

As a member of the Building Design BIM team, you will maintain lines of communication with our National BIM Leads, regional/studio leadership and project teams, while also assisting in the development of goals and project plans to meet regional and project objectives. You will support the region in successful work winning, adoption and delivery of project Digital & BIM, as well as acting as a mentor to project teams on the best practices and solutions for delivering a project through its lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial awareness, as well as the capacity to modify strategy and technical needs to meet client/project/practice objectives.
  • Confident leading and working as part of a team with good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, autonomous but able to work effectively with the wider team.
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of different audiences, both technical and non-technical to lead project & regional transformation forward.
  • Be driven to pursue continued education in Digital & BIM and connect with wider internal and external industry community.
  • Be recognised and involved as regional Technical Authority in a subject portfolio.

People:

  • Lead a dedicated regional BIM team to meet the demands of the region, projects, and clients.
    Support with the Implementation of the national practice strategy for upskilling staff within Digital & BIM.
  • Manage regional Digital & BIM related skills gaps and identify requirements for improvement and opportunities for growth across all skill levels.
  • Provide one-to-one mentoring on 'Best Practice' workflows to project teams as required.
  • Identify and communicate any project or regional training needs and requirements.
  • Attendance at industry conferences and provide feedback to the wider BIM team.
  • Seek out opportunities with potential clients and work winning activities to promote our Digital & BIM capabilities.

Process:

  • Implement the Practice Transformation Plan in region.
  • Lead the deployment of all aspects of the BIM strategy across the region.
  • Support the development and implementation of our national BIM strategy.
  • Be an active contributor to at least one of the BIM Portfolios.
  • Measure and evidence how people, process and technology initiatives are being utilised to benefit projects and practice.

Technology:

  • Support the region in successful work winning, adoption and delivery of project Digital & BIM needs and requirements.
  • Strategic coordination across Building Design practice to ensure successful discipline integration of our technical standards and workflows.
  • Support regional project teams with BEP development and implementation including establishing project specific processes, protocols and CDE arrangements.
  • Support the region in successful delivery of BIM project requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting on project status to project and regional leadership.
    Evaluate new digital tools available within the business and across the industry and promote the use of these with the appropriate discipline.
  • Auditing of hardware and software requirements within region and alignment with national BIM strategy.
