Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement and manage reward strategy programs in line with best practices
  • Develop company-wide bonus program
  • Oversee salary, bonus and benefit packages for employees
  • Evaluating job positions and job classifications to ensure correct salary allocations
  • Offer guidance and advice to employees and the business on pension and medical aid funding / contributions
  • Ensure that compensation and benefit packages comply with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct market research to ensure that company is in line with industry norms
  • Engage and build relationships with benefit suppliers 
  • Participate and provide guidance during annual salary review process / bonus reviews
  • Investigating and initiating wellness programs and initiatives
  • Oversee provident fund / medical aid terminations, refunds, withdrawals and processing of funeral / death benefits
  • Ensure compliance to changes in tax and/or local labour legislation


Education & Skills:

  • Completed Human Resources degree an advantage
  • Minimum of 7 -10 years in Remuneration and Rewards specifically with compensation and benefit programs
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience working within the construction / O&G sector
  • Must have a good background in local labour legislation and best practices for compensation and benefit programs
  • Must have experience working with SAGE and MS Excel
  • Knowledge of taxation in relation to employee remuneration and benefits
  • Experience in construction and engineering environment an advantage
