Purpose of the Role:

  • The Senior Identity & Access Management Engineer is a hands-on role to design, support, troubleshoot and extend our Identity and Authentication services.  While many of these services have been deployed into part of the organisation, we are looking to extend and standardise across our environment (35,000 end users, 500 privilege users).
  • We are therefore looking for a candidate that has experience in developing and deploying Active Directory, Azure and PAM systems into a multi domain / cloud environment. The team support a broad range of produces, these include Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Varonis, Multi-Factor Authentication, Certificate Services, KMS and ADFS.
  • Working within the Identity & Access Management Team you will provide support for resolving incidents, implementing customer requests, delivering projects and offering technical advice to project teams.
  • This role would suit an individual who has both experience within a 3rd line support environment, and proven design, development and troubleshooting skills with both Identity and PAM solutions, within a large multinational organisation.
  • The successful candidate will be dynamic, analytical and able to come up with smart solutions within budget constraints.

Key Deliverables/Responsibilities:

  • Designing and deploying Identity & Authentication solutions in line with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Developing and designing processes to proactively reduce risks by analysing logs and session forensics.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation, including knowledge-based articles for support teams.
  • Resolving 3rd line identity & access management related support calls, including root cause analysis for a ‘fix once’ approach.
  • Advanced Active Directory, PKI, ADFS management, troubleshooting and monitoring.
  • Advanced access management troubleshooting and monitoring.
  • Group Policy management within a mixed client environment, filtering and targeting policies.
  • Improving and/or automating, scripting administrative procedures.
  • Monitoring the identity services with System Centre Operations Manager (SCOM).
  • Continual service improvement through best practise and innovative technologies.

Experience Required (Essential):

  • Advanced Active Directory, Microsoft Azure troubleshooting.
  • Azure AD & Azure Connect, troubleshooting synchronization issues between inhouse and hosted services.
  • Forest / domain recovery processes.
  • Scripting with PowerShell.  Automating administration-based tasks.
  • Knowledge and usage of monitoring & reporting-based systems, ideally SCOM.
  • Working within a helpdesk / support environment, dealing with customer issues through to resolution.

Experience Required (Desirable):

  • Varonis
  • CyberArk, Beyond Trust PAM solutions
  • Unix/Linux administration
  • Managing, supporting and monitoring a Microsoft Server Platform
  • Public Key Infrastructure Solutions
  • Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
  • Experience working within ITIL aligned Service Delivery organization

  • Proven experience of delivering process efficiencies and improvements.
  • Clear and fluent English (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with remote teams.
  • Demonstrate ability to take ownership of and accountability for relevant products and services.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and complete your own work, whilst remaining a team player.
  • Willingness to engage with and work in other technologies.
