Senior Project Delivery Manager

AtkinsRéalis is currently looking for a Senior Project Delivery Manager to join the team and be part of our exciting and challenging projects. The candidate will lead multi-discipline engineering projects and manage a team of project management professionals.

Location: BC, AB, or SK

Main responsibilities:

• Manage the BC and Prairies project management group, responsible for resource management, staff assignment to projects, and aligning team resources with future business pipelines.
• Oversee project delivery mandates across Western Canada, ensuring successful execution from initial proposal to project completion.
• Hire, train, and develop staff, including creating a training plan and succession planning for the team.
• Collaborate with the business resource team to match staffing needs with project demands and future growth.
• Lead engineering activities in collaboration with the project management team, including setting up project execution and design management plans.
• Establish and manage project budgets, ensuring collaboration with stakeholders and compliance with AtkinsRéalis standards.
• Ensure quality standards and risk management practices are maintained across all phases of project delivery.
• Maintain clear communication between the project management team, design team, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Actively participate in business development initiatives and assist in negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
• Manage and oversee their own projects in addition to leading the team.
• Support Project Delivery initiatives to improve project performance across the business.

Recommended skills

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or extensive experience in project management; P.Eng and/or PMP license is an asset.
• Experience in Project management, business development and team management.
• Experience delivering Engineering project and delivering under various partnership models (e.g., Joint-Venture, Prime-Sub).
• Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong ability to work with integrated teams of consultants and subcontractors across Canada.
• Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement.
• Effective communication skills, with experience in developing and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, including conflict resolution.
• Initiative, autonomy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel within North America as required.
