We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL, to lead and work on various FDOT projects.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Work involves planning, coordination and problem solving on a variety of considerably complex projects, involving several disciplines, contractors and/or regulatory agencies for projects typically involving major roadway and bridge construction.

• Leads subordinate internal staff involved in the observation, testing and sampling of construction materials, observation of construction work, and documentation of plan revisions and work progress.

• Prepares and coordinates contract changes and supplemental agreements with client.

• Provides financial management of construction office operations, monitoring costs and expenses, approving and dispersing funds, and coordinating accounting and cost allocation.

• Performs non-manual field work that involves a combination of conventional and complex features, requiring the application of sound and diversified professional engineering knowledge in broad areas of assignments, usually including the coordination of various projects.

• Interfaces internally with senior technical professionals, technical managers, and administrative staff and managers as necessary.

• Experience working with FDOT is preferred.   

What will you contribute?

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, plus fifteen years’ experience.

• FDOT Advanced MOT or ability to achieve within 6 months.

• Attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager course and pass the examination.

• P.E is required.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).

• Ability to direct highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program.
