The transportation infrastructure sector in Scotland is experiencing unprecedented levels of investment and AtkinsRéalis is leading projects to upgrade existing transport networks to deliver future demand including active travel initiatives, rail upgrades as well as extensive public transport corridor enhancements. We are also working closely with our clients to support their digital transformation and are developing new initiatives to help them deliver on their Net Zero commitments.

AtkinsRéalis is going from strength to strength in Scotland and are providing a wide range of support to our clients via the Excel framework and other routes to market.  We have exciting growth plans to further expand our business in response to this pipeline of work and we are looking to enhance our team in Edinburgh. We are currently seeking talented, experienced individuals to help deliver projects for our expanding client base. The roles will also involve supporting our wider AtkinsRéalis business working across both Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.

Your purpose:

• We are recruiting Transport Planners across a number of grades for our Movement and Place practice and would like to discuss our exciting range of opportunities with prospective candidates.  We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who wish to contribute to shaping and growing a high performing, dynamic team, working seamlessly across our national business.
• Our transport planners support our clients in finding the best outcomes for their transport challenges.  We help our clients maximise the life opportunities for people living, working and visiting their areas whilst tackling strategic goals such as climate change, transport poverty and the access needs of different groups of people.

• Development of transport strategies and plans (local and strategic.)
• Scheme appraisal and business case preparation.
• Active travel.
• Transport behaviour change.
• Transport scheme development.

• Development planning.
• Feasibility and corridor studies.
• Multi-modal transport strategies.
