Job Description:

Job Summary:

Title: Unified Communications Engineer

Would be part of Unified Communication Team to support Unified Solution services. To work in a larger Unified Communications Services environment, supporting other work processes & stake holders and offering customers a quality, efficient and effective service.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations:

• Work independently or on a team to support Microsoft Unified Communication Platforms including SharePoint and Office 365.
• Provide end-to-end root cause analysis and assistance for issues related to SharePoint On-Premises infra and SharePoint online.
• Work closely with other internal teams to build security, reliability, and scalability into the SharePoint infrastructure.
• Apply and share knowledge; contribute ideas and opinions.
• Should be able to identify potential capacity issues in the environment and able to mitigate quickly.
• Scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell and SharePoint portal customizations.
• Microsoft SharePoint On-Premises / SharePoint Online (Administration).
• Microsoft SharePoint On-Premises / SharePoint Online (Migration).
• Yammer/Viva Engage administration.

• Flexible in working in 24x7 rotational shifts or as demanded by the business.
• Unified Communications: 3+ years of experience.
• The candidate should have minimum 3+ years of overall experience with SharePoint server administration / support experience on SharePoint 2010/2013/2016/2019 and SharePoint Online.
• The job will require in-depth troubleshooting of SharePoint related server-side issues, installation and configuration of new SharePoint servers, backup and recovery of SharePoint portal servers. The candidate must have handled medium to large SharePoint server farms.
• The candidate should be familiar with all the functionalities/features of SharePoint 2010/2013/2016/2019 like Info path services, excel services, document libraries etc.
• Yammer administration and support experience.
• Microsoft Exchange 2013 and Exchange Online migrations experience will be added advantage.
• Very strong in ITIL Processes.
• Flexible, self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure in an International and culturally diverse organization.
• MCTIP on Microsoft SharePoint 2010 / MCSE on Microsoft SharePoint 2013 or later.
• Additional Microsoft Infrastructure Experience (Exchange, MS Teams, SQL etc.).
• Understanding of 24x7 IT support model and good exposure to ITIL framework including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Release Management and Configuration Management.

Good to have:

• Knowledge on Office system O365s, Deployment, Migration.
• Knowledge on Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Exchange On-Premises/Online.
• Prepare relevant documentation such as known errors, solutions, major incident reports that will help in continuous improvement.

Educational Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering or Science.
• MBA preferred.
