AtkinsRéalis is looking for Digital Lead, in KSA.

AtkinsRéalis are hiring for the position of Digital Lead to be based in Riyadh, KSA. This leadership role will be responsible for the development, implementation, and expansion of information management services and digital technologies. The role requires a strong background in information management and virtual construction, experience in strategic planning and project management, great leadership and communication skills, and a passion for innovation. Reporting to the Digital Lead for Buildings and Places for MEA region, you are expected to be forward-thinking and to provide leadership in adopting new technologies that can streamline day-to-day project operations and construction management processes; as well as deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

As Digital Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the integration of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Information Management, GIS and innovative technologies. Through your leadership and expertise, you will drive efficiency, accuracy, and innovation across all stages of the project delivery.

The successful candidate will lead our project specific Digital team working in KSA as part of AtkinsRealis team and establish/ensure compliance of technical requirements, digital delivery and support strategic initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Architect/Civil Engineering degree in construction management with 12+ years’ experience in AEC industry and minimum 7 years’ experience in Middle East region

  • 10 years or more BIM/Information Management experience

  • 5 years’ experience in corporate strategic planning and leadership programmes

  • ISO 19650 implementation in major consulting and construction organizations

KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strategic leadership in Digital Transformation programmes

  • A thorough understanding of ISO 19650

  • Technology integration across businesses, sectors and markets

  • Client engagement (major and key accounts)

  • Sound knowledge of current design and engineering delivery processes and technology stack, including but not limited to design reuse and automation, data standards, CDE and EDMS platforms

  • Advanced VDC skills e.g., BIM, AR/VR (Unreal/ VR Collab), LIDAR, Digital Twins, GIS

  • Experienced with producing standards-compliant documentation

  • Experienced with Authority submissions standards and requirements in KSA

  • Experienced with Revit/Civil3D – GIS information exchange workflows and formats

  • Experienced in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence

  • Strong experience with 3D coordination/clash detection tools

  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to lead a team of 10-20+

  • Strong communication skills and ability to understand and follow complex verbal and written instructions and the ability to interact effectively to maintain a team environment and smooth project delivery

  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Strategic mindset with a focus on driving innovation and continuous business improvement

Desirable Requirements

  • Automation expertise such as dynamo, rhino, grasshopper

  • Exposure to ESRI software like ArcGIS

  • Autodesk Certified Professional

  • Exposure to Bentley tools

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Part of the project’s executive team and single point of contact for the Client regarding any digital/information management tasks

  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of in-house and external specialists (Information Managers, automation/AR-VR engineers and document controllers). This includes hiring, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure team members are equipped to excel in their roles by creating an environment that supports learning and growth

  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to AtkinsRealis’ digital design and QA/QC standards, methods and procedures. Responsible for the development and maintenance of information management /BIM documents. Support the preparation of design documentation, review deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy

  • Project Integration: Collaborate with project managers and design managers to integrate virtual technologies into project planning and construction. Ensure the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for each project with the support of the Information Manager(s).

  • Oversee the adoption and use of company design standards across production along the programme

  • Help resolve digital issues in production on a daily/weekly basis

  • Performing capability and capacity assessments of subconsultants and overseeing subconsultants digital deliverables

  • Overseeing GIS integration along the programme during the whole design lifecycle

  • Ensuring all agreed digital KPIs are met

  • Assist with the training and development of the Programme/Project team

  • Support strategic initiatives and digital enablement by improving 3D Design Standards and efficiencies across the company

  • Supporting the development and enforcement of business improvement plan(s)
