We are seeking a meticulous and organized Document Controller to join our team in the UAE. The Document Controller will be responsible for managing all project-related documents in accordance with company procedures and project requirements. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in document control within the engineering or construction industry, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of all project documents including drawings, specifications, correspondence, and reports.
  • Ensure all documents are properly formatted, version-controlled, and stored securely both electronically and physically.
  • Coordinate document distribution both internally and externally as per project requirements.
  • Monitor document review and approval processes to ensure documents are reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of document status reports for project management as required.
  • Support project teams in retrieving documents and information as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to document management procedures and standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to project team members on document control procedures and systems.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding document submissions and approvals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Document Controller or similar role within the engineering or construction industry.
  • Familiarity with document management systems and software (e.g., SharePoint, Documentum).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to document control is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
