We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis is seeking a EHS (Safety) Professional to join our Chandler, AZ. office.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Provides technical expertise and advice in HSE-related requirements and issues to the appropriate levels of management with the customer.
  • Provides the customer project/program management staff with HSE technical support in their development of project-specific HSE plans, identification of HSE-related project budget and staffing resource requirements, and other project specific issues related to program/project HSE compliance and operational requirements.
  • Assists customer managers with meeting requirements of the company HSE program, including assistance with defining and delivering HSE training, participation in medical monitoring processes, and management of HSE-related licenses, permits, and authorizations required to perform customer business operations.
  • Directly oversees the customer’s response to all customer incidents and assists customer management with the performance of thorough incident investigation and follow-up activities in accordance with firm requirements.
  • Coordinates with the customer to implement requirements of the firm's HSE Program within the organization.
  • Coordinates with the HSE Director to obtain support and resources as necessary to ensure the Subsidiary/Group Company is able to meet the regulatory compliance and HSE risk management needs for its business activities.
  • Be available to respond to incidents during off-hours on a rotational basis.
  • Performs such assignments and duties as the Supervisor may deem necessary from time to time.

What will you contribute?

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's degree in related discipline, plus minimum five years of HSE-related technical
    • experience or Associate’s degree plus minimum nine years of HSE-related experience.
    • Three years of experience in an HSE management role preferred.
  • SPECIAL SKILLS:
    • Aggressive self-starter with strong organizational skills; excellent presentation skills and ability to train large groups; strong verbal and analytical skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management; ability to observe and perceive any work activity that could become a potential hazard or quality concern; ability to manipulate data in automated information systems such as MS Word, Excel and other computer programs and applications.
  • PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS:
    • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification (within two years of assuming position). This requirement may be waived depending on client need.

Expected compensation range is between $90,000 - $145,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.

Upon acceptance of an offer, all candidates must go through a drug screen test and background check. AtkinsRéalis is a federal contractor which mandates a satisfactory background screening report and drug test that supersedes state laws.
